 نام علمی انبه : Mangifera indica

 

انبه درختی است زیبا که ارتفاع آن تا 10 متر می رسد . منشا انبه هند و مالزی و برمه می باشد ولی هم اکنون در تمام مناق استوایی و حاره کشت می شود . انبه از 4000 سال پیش وجود داشته است .

 برگهای این درخت نیزه ای شکل ، گلهای آن زرد یا قرمز رنگ و بصورت خوشه ای وجود دارد . میوه آن که انبه یا منگو نامیده می شود بیضوی شکل و دارای طعمی مطبوع وشیرین بوده و دارای هسته ای نسبتا بزرگ است . انبه در اوائل ماه می می رسد و تا اوائل سپتامبر موجود است .

 انبه رسیده از نظر طب قدیم ایران گرم و خشک و نارس آن سرد و خشک است . انبه نارس تولید کننده بلغم و سودا در بدن می باشد .

این میوه از منابع بسیار خوب پتاسیم به حساب می آید، طوری که مصرف آن به افراد مبتلا به فشار خون بالا توصیه می شود.

این میوه اندیس گلایسمی بالایی نیز دارد، یعنی وقتی مصرف شود، قند خون به یکباره افزایش پیدا می کند و موجب ترشح هورمون انسولین می شود. با ترشح این هورمون، قند به داخل سلول ها وارد شده و دوباره افت پیدا می کند. به همین دلیل فرد دوباره احساس گرسنگی می کند و همین موضوع موجب زود به زود گرسنه شدن فرد و پرخوری او می شود.

میوه ای برای کم خون ها

Clinical Study Two

African Mango clinical trialsA second study (which had actually been carried out prior to the one above) which can be found in the Journal of Lipids in Health and Disease lasted for a total of 4 weeks and was published in 2005. In this particular trial, a smaller number of 40 subjects were used all of whom were overweight at the start of the experiment. They were given even 3.15g of the African Mango seed extract or an equivalent amount of oat bran, also half an hour prior to consuming meals but in addition to this; the trial was accompanied by a low fat diet. On this diet, the subjects were instructed to eat approximately 1,800 calories per day.

At the end of the month, those people who had been subject to the African Mango treatment were recorded to have lost an estimation of 5.6% of their total body weight compared with those who were given the placebo who only lost about 1% of their body weight. Body fat specifically though did not change in either group of subjects.

In addition to these results, systolic blood pressure of the subjects treated with the Mango extract was reduced by about 4 points after the month had expired. It has been said though that this might have been due to the weight loss experienced by the subjects as opposed to the direct effects of the Mango extract itself although there is really no way of telling whether this is actually the case.

It seems then that from the two studies mentioned above, there is a potential that the African Mango extract can live up to its claims relating to weight loss although more research would be needed to confirm this for sure.

Are There Any Adverse Side Effects Associated With The Use Of The Extract?
